How To Secure your Gmail account with 2-step verification process

Step 1) Sign-in with your Gmail email id and password.
Step 2) Click on the drop down arrow on the upper right corner of your Gmail account on the main screen. Select privacy option from there.
Step 3) Then you will be directed to a new window , select the Security from the list of available options.
Step 4) Here, you can see there is an option of 2-step verification, it will show the status as OFF , click on EDIT to change. Then, you will be again prompted to enter the password.
Step 5) After this you click on the Start setup button to start the process. Now, the setup will be completed in 4 simple steps. First enter your mobile phone no. where you want to recieve the verification code.
you can either select Text message or Voice call as per your comfortability. Click on the Send code option at the bottom to confirm that the phone is in your reach.
Step 6) Make sure the phone is within your reach to verify with Google. Enter the code that has been sent on your mobile no. Your second step is completed, we are almost done.
Step 7) If you are usually using Gmail account on your personal laptop or PC, then you can check the option of Trust this computer and click NEXT, it will only prompt you to enter the code once in 30 days.
Step 7) Click Confirm to complete the process. Now, 2-step verification has been turned ON, now it will send you a code on your Mobile phone everytime you will Sign-in into your account.
If in any case you loose access to your phone, you can change the mobile no. anytime by using your secondary email id.
